Dr. Caroline Cusack is an Oceanography and Ocean Climate team leader in the Oceanographic and Climate Services group at the Marine Institute, Ireland. She is involved in a number of activities related to ocean observing (e.g. ICES, GO-SHIP, EuroGOOS, EOOS, GOOS) and works with colleagues to develop downstream services (e.g. alerts for the aquaculture industry). More recently, she was involved in European research projects focused on improving and integrating the European Ocean Observing and Forecasting System (the H2020 funded EuroSea project), addressing new requirements for ship-based measurements within the context of the European Research Infrastructure landscape (the Horizon Europe EuroGO-SHIP project) and has carried out research related to developing marine ecosystem climate services in the JPI Climate ERA4CS funded project, CoCliME. 

Dr. Conor Delaney, (Ph.D. 2009), is the Technical Coordinator at the Secretariat of the European Marine Observation and Data Network (EMODNET), a marine data sharing service of the European Commission Directorate-General of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (DG MARE). Conor is an environmental data scientist and has over 20 years of experience working at the intersection of applied environmental science and information technology, with an emphasis on geographical information systems and Earth observation and marine data. He has worked in a number of areas including urban air quality, climate change in the Arctic, water pollution management in the Irish sea, water quality management in rivers and lakes, shellfish aquaculture management and information technology for environmental management around Europe. Currently, his focus is on the promise of Cloud computing to improve access to environmental data sets.

Holds a PhD in Fluid Mechanics from the University of Poitiers (France). He worked for energy production in the private sector before becoming Associate Professor at the von Karman Institute for Fluid Mechanics and the Belgian Royal Military Academy.

He joined the European Commission in 2006 where he held several positions from scientific officer to research programme officer in the successive framework programmes for research and innovation in the fields of aeronautics (DG RTD), energy (DG ENER) and space (DG DEFIS).

In 2021, Rémy joined DG MARE as a Deputy head of Unit where is main file is marine knowledge.
